About June:
June Bunch pins sensory cues and story-telling trails into her lyrics, taking listeners on a ride with her finger-plucked strings:
"Traveling Mess" empties your gas tank on a long country road. "Moab" speaks of disappearing in the desert. "Storm Dancing" paints you into a hurricane's approach...and the list goes on.
Originally a street performer in Asheville, June wrote songs within collaborations, connecting musicians into seasonal groups through her Pop-Up Music Co-op . She was self-taught and studied Joni Mitchell, Adrianne Lenker, Ella Fitzgerald, and more, carving her own chronicles in response to theirs.
She has recorded with Will Quinlan, Clouds of Reason, Hummingbird Elephant, and Hot Grandpa.
